Perth AFC played division 2 heavyweights East Perth on Sunday in the FFA cup, in a game that would be a huge test for us. We played really well in the first half and created a number of chances, however we were made to pay by East Perth who went in at half time 2 nil up!
The boys were still buoyant and believed we could win and we came out firing in the second half pulling a goal back with 25 mins to go and really pushing hard for an equalizer. However we squandered a couple of great chances late in the game and East perth saw out the game professionally to progress to the next round.
Really proud of the boys efforts against top opposition however myself and all the players are gutted we couldnt claim victory!
