“The Premier side came up against champions Perth Saints on Sunday and although we battled hard lost the game 3-0. Saints started off strongly but we tried to stifle their passing and make it hard for them in general play, however as was the case in the other games against the saints we were found wanting from crosses and set pieces against them! We went into the break at half time 1 nil down and i felt the boys had a chance to get something out of the game.
Second Half we started with more of the ball but after a failed attack the Saints broke with lightning speed and scored their second. With 20 mins to go Saints had their striker sent off for dissent and we pushed numbers forward to try equalise but again got punished on a set piece and left us trailing 3 nil. But to our boys credit in the last 15 mins we pushed and made it uncomfortable for the Ten man Saints and on another day if we were more clinical we might have snatched a draw But it wasn't to be and the Saints saw out the game and again showed us they are the stand out benchmark of the competition!”
