"We All Know There’s Heaps Of Room For Improvement And Are Optimistic This Isn’t Just A Once Off!"

A Massive and much needed result as our double training session paid huge dividends as we claimed our first victory against the multiple SFL Grand finalists Fremantle FC. A very much hard grafted game with us walking away with a comfortable 6-2 victory in the end, prevailing Fremantles 5th man the remaining few minutes left us all buzzing. We played a high pressed, physical and high intensity game just like we trained and still haven’t reached top gear yet I feel.

Still missing some key players with the likes of tough tommy and magic martin nursing ankle injuries and Ronnie serving a suspension and big kev absent, we all know there’s heaps of room for improvement and are optimistic this isn’t just a once off.

Everyone getting a piece of the pie with 6 goals spread amongst the team this week, main man Nathan Thorpeeee the engine opened the scoring with some tekkers in front of goals with Andrija lurking backstick with a possible toe on this goal. Notably Jukic a man in fine form with a clean 2 goals and a few assists, well deserved man of the match and player of the round “this Croatian maestro is just getting warmed up”.

Solid game in goals by loaded pistol Mike Kelly but was overshadowed with some tasty goals on display, our 5th goal being the highlight with 4 quick passes opening Freo right up with a cheeky backheel assist from tricky feet Forbes and a composed finish by D’Ulisse. With huge praises from coach Jon who loves us to play with confidence and more pace and an impressive debut for our young star Dylan made of Steele who has earned his place in the SFL side with some confident play, his desire to learn will guarantee him more game time as the season progresses.

Another back to back training session this week with a tough task of Murdoch this weekend, a team of some up and down results we are confident we can continue on this form and get a result if we all grind it out. With two days of rest before our big game and probably some midnight training homework from Jon we all are raring to go and very much excited for Saturdays test.
