"Friday night saw the AFC boys take on 4th placed Ballajura Panthers. The boys were fired up all week hungry for a win and a chance to jump into the top 4. As soon as the whistle blew the boys wanted the win and it showed. Playing some great composed futsal we hit the lead and didn't look back. A great team performance saw us take all 3 point and jump into a well deserved 4th place.
The WSFL Draft girls took on Fremantle FC, showing some great progression over the last few weeks and it continued. Going down 2-1 the girls showed the AFC fight and kept pushing taking a 3-2 lead and holding on till the end of the game.
The WSFL girls took on a strong Fremantle FC side looking for their 4th straight win and with an eye on top spot. A coaching mistake and tactical error saw the girls end the first half 5-2 down. A reshuffle at half time and change in game plan allowed the girls to once again show some amazing fight to rescue a point from the game and hold on to a top 4 position. I was very proud of the girls never say die attitude.
With the All Stars Game this weekend the teams will have a well deserved break before heading into the second half of the season. Congratulations to Kat, Beck, Jaymee and Danielle for making the All Stars selection!"
