Head Coach Marco Celesti With His Views On The Men's Premier Round 8 Win Over Victoria Park.

Marco Celesti was all smiles on Sunday after his side came away with the points against a gutsy Victoria Park.

“What a turnaround from last week for the Perth AFC Premier team with a hard fought 3-0 win against a Victoria Park side who are better value as a side than their lowly ladder position suggests!

A frenetic start to the game had both sides desperate for a stranglehold in the game and a switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation in the game gave us more cover in the midfield and allowed our attacking players a bit more license. Nil all at half time with a goal by Christopher De Freitas disallowed for a dubious offside left us frustrated but confident and determined to win the game in the second half.

A goal by Daniele D'ulisse early in the second half put us in front but Vic Park put us under a lot of pressure and pressed hard but we stood firm in defence! Late goals to Bobby Ramic and Kevin Clary Angeles finished off Vic Park who had a man sent off with 20 mins to go which helped us see out the game. An even contribution by every player and willingness to get "stuck in " got Perth AFC the win.”
